Saint George Startup Week

This is the First year of this competition and it is now open to every textile school in Covasna county.

Aims:

To encourage students to enjoy designing and create new products.

To improve their skills and confidence.

To encourage more students to choose this profession

To encourage schools to continue teaching Textile Technology at all levels.

THE COMPETITON RULES:

1. Design and make a useful item for home, using used clothes.

2. Re-fashion used clothes.

The creation must show design flair, skill in the construction, be appealing to the eye and low cost.

The finished article must be accompanied by a small portfolio of no more than 1 sheets of A4, showing design ideas, development, final design and cost.

Judging Criteria:            

• The Judges will award marks as follows:
• Interpretation of the Brief and Design Ideas      
• Final Design                                                                
• Quality of making skills                                           
• Costing                                                                                         

Awards:

Everyone will receive a Participation certificate.
Certificates and appropriate prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
A special prize for the winner, who proves to be the most creative.
